Hut Ava

Hut Ava is our very first Shepherd Hut where you can enjoy the views and tranquillity free from the distractions of TV and

Wi-Fi. With all the home comforts of a full-size double bed, hot and cold running water with a shower and flushing toilet.

There is a gas oven and hob, fridge and a log burner for cooler evenings.

Outside is a seating area with chairs, a Kamado BBQ and utensils. The large comfortable seating area allows for relaxing, whilst taking in the views across the wildflower meadow.

The kitchen area is well equipped for the preparation of food and the breakfast bar sits two comfortably, providing glimpsing views to the rear of Hut Ava, with avenues among the native trees.

Whilst our huts are not completely off grid, we are as close as we can be whilst providing a comfortable stay. A solar charged battery system supplies the huts with adequate power for lighting, refrigeration, USB charging points and a time limited heated towel rail.

Whilst LPG gas provides hot running water via a boiler and fuels a full-sized oven, grill and hob, the log burning stove provides the main heating for the hut and uses locally sourced recycled hardwood briquettes.

Each hut has a hairdryer, Bluetooth radio speaker which take their energy from the battery and there is a well-equipped kitchen.

Bedding and Towels are provided along with a welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar and milk. You will find everything you need in Hut Ava, just bring good company or a good book.

Locally sourced breakfast, BBQ or meal packs can be provided.

Please ask for a list of options and prices at the time of booking.
