Here at Shepherds Retreat it’s all about the views, the tranquillity and nature. Our first Shepherd Hut, Hut Ava sits on a hillside facing east with unspoilt views that extend to neighbouring farmland and the picturesque village of Skendleby.

Morning sunrises are spectacular and at night the dark skies are a perfect backdrop for star gazing.

Spanning over 9 acres of wooded area, wildflower meadow and parkland walks, preserving wildlife and nature have been key considerations in the development of Shepherds Retreat. Our aim is to provide quality accommodation with visitors taking no more from the environment than is produced during their stay. As we are eco conscious, this really is an escape to nature.
